We talk about Olympics as they relate to geopolitics and how winning a medal isn’t just an exercise in athleticism, but also deeply political. We then turn our attention to the crazy world of DC and Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns and Alan Moore’s Killing Joke. We compare the different depictions of Batman and the thesis that each comic book presents. We look at the social and psychological elements of Batman and his greatest villain, the Joker.
