We discuss the controversy of Justice Ginsburg and her comments on Trump and how even powerful women often face a type of scrutiny that their male counterparts do not. We discuss how this is reflected in the nerd community. We argue that the nerd community, being open and accepting, also falls into the trap of reinforcing a type of misogyny and sexism. We explore how inclusive spaces end up becoming exclusive and how being a woman in the public eye comes with a set of challenges that male counterparts do not face.
