We talk about how the genre emerged, its roots in the 20th century, and the effect it has had on pop culture. We discuss different medium’s that portray dystopian societies from Orwell’s 1984 to Huxley’s Brave New World and even movies like Hunger Games and comic books like Tokyo Ghost. We talk about how the genre has influence our ideas of fascism and what it can tell us about politics today.
